Darayya

Darayya is one of the most strategic areas around the capital Damascus, as it is also located in the southern outskirts of Mezzeh Airbase. The battle in Darayya still ongoing since years, as Rebels are besieged inside the city since 2012.

Recently, Rebels were able to advance and take most fo al-Jam’iyat area, getting closer to Mezzeh Airbase. The Regime trying to prevent Rebels from taking the National Hospital and Sakinah Shrine, otherwise Rebels may advance more easily toward Mezzeh Airbase. It’s quite hard for Rebels to launch huge offensive to enter the airbas, but it is possible for Rebels to destroy parts of the airbase by their heavy military equipment if they will be able to reach it.

Yemen

The situation in Yemen has been changing since months, as well after the intervention of the Arab Coalition (Gulf countries, Jordan, Morocco, Sudan and Egypt) in order to back the Yemeni government and the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC). The rapid changes in the military situation started after the Yemeni government decivise victory in Aden city in July 2015, and their rapid advances toward Lahj, Abyan, al-Dale’, Taiz, Ibb, Shabwah and Dhumar provinces.

AQAP took the provincial capital of Hadramaut province (Mukalla city) in the past months and lost control of many areas in the countryside in several provinces, but their tribal allies (like Qaifa) still controlling some areas in al-Baydaa province near Radaa’.
