Al-Safwah Islamic Battalions, a Syrian Opposition faction based in the city of Aleppo, and active in the northern countryside of Aleppo and with few presence in the southern countryside, with a size of 550 fighters.

The factions was formed in January 18, 2013, as part of Tahwid Brigade, which was the largest Opposition faction in Aleppo, linked to the Free Syrian Army.

Al-Safwah Battalions is led by Ghassan Najjar (also called Khattab), and it is a part of the Free Syrian Army, and also a member in Fatah Halab coalition (Opposition military coalition in Aleppo).
